A mantra is a repetition of a single song, word, or phrase, that packs a powerfull punch against very intrusive thoughts. Every word has a meaning and you should know it’s meaning. Sounds are sacred. And this will enhance your meditation experience.
Mantras should not be confused or depicted by a specific religion, it’s the vibrations of the words which lies the strength and triggers the mind. Chanting verbally or mentally of your mantra creates powerfull forces to specific “chakras” to attract divine forces. This is a mysterious process and has said to heal the spiritual, physical, and psychological body. The word or phrase must be enjoyed. You should completely surrender and release yourself while using your mantra. The word must appeal to you.
If used you can consider yourself a practitioner of mantra as so many in our history. Like I said it has no specific religion, but is more used by other religions other. The basis of mantra meditation is formed from the first repetition of mantra. They are used as spiritual evolution or enlightenment.
Mantras can affect a sensitive or psychic adversely because of the fact of the repetition. The vibrations would cause an altering affect and thoughts would flood the mind. Not knowing what is being shown. Mantras are not supposed to be used for a paradoxal event, like I said they are sacred. You should always know what you are practicing.
A common mantra is the “Japa Mala.” This is a rosary of 108 beads, which are turned after the mantra is said properly and always should be. It should not turn into a tongue twister. It should be said properly under a couple of minutes. The “Japa Mala” brings the mind back if it wonders. This rosary is very popular.
I have used a mantra internally to trigger my crown chakra. I will repeat water an internalize my all knowing power with God.
Many cultures believe in powers of words. There are so many of each, and yours to tap into and experiment with while finding yourself on your enlightenment journey.
